Too Busy to Take Time for Him?
It seems that life keeps
getting busier and busier. The more people you know, the more you go. But,
where would we be without each other? God’s word says; “And let us consider
one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the
assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one
another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24
But where do we draw the line?
Not only do we need to keep up with our own families, church family, and
friends and coworkers, we have to take time with our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ. Those are the key words: “have to.” God doesn’t ask us to do
anything but be who we are and accept Him as our Savior and ask Him to
forgive us of our sins. Is that too much to ask from someone who gave His
only Son to us to bear all of our sins and sicknesses?
Think about it, HE took it all
for us. With the holiday season approaching, let us remember to have quiet
time with our Lord. Of course, spend time with our loved ones but take time
for the One who loves us.
