The Day of Judgment
 

At a recent race, I was going around talking to people as usual when I came across one of the sponsors of part of the racing series.  He was quite disappointed that many of the racers in that series were not displaying the decals that they were given as part of that race.

After speaking to him for a while, I went to speak to the head of the racing authority, who also expressed a great deal of concern that people were not displaying these decals.  I then asked what I could do to help fix this situation.  I was asked to go to the staging lanes before second round of qualifying with a pocket full of decals.  If I found anyone that did not have them on their vehicle, to either have them place them on before making that run or return to the pits.

Now, in going to the lanes I didn’t think that I would find anyone that didn’t have the decals on their vehicle.  Everyone was told at tech to display the decals.  If they didn’t have them after the first qualifying run, they were given a set at the scales.

To my surprise there were some that didn’t have them on.  The first two I spoke with had no problem putting them on.  But when I came to the third, this person declined but said that they would put them on after the run.   There is no reason that I would believe them, as they were given them after the first run and they didn’t put them on, so why would they after the second?  Now in all fairness they could have forgotten, or were busy doing between round maintenance…still the fact remains they must put on the decals or not run.

Now that they all had on their decals, I was on my way back to report to those in authority that the sponsor was taken care of.  Then I started thinking about how it will be at the Day of Judgment , that God the Father has allowed His son to die for us so that we might have eternal life (John 3:16).  Yet some chose to reject this free gift or put it off.  They, too, might have well meaning intentions.  But the day of their demise will come whether they are ready or not. (Hebrews 9:27) (And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.)

What will be you decision?  Maybe you already have your spiritual decal over your heart telling others who sponsors your race in life, and who you are looking forward to receiving your prize from.  If not, behold, now is the day of salvation.
