As I paused by my 1969 Road Runner recently, the thought crossed my mind—was life really slower back then? It seems in my memory that there was more time to enjoy each moment. Or maybe, like so many things, time and age has changed my perspective.
The Bible says that life is like a vapor, quickly passing. How did that hot rod kid reach the age of 52 in such a short time? Once young, too soon becoming old, like that new car that is now a classic. Have you ever pondered the meaning of it all? When we reach the end, will the big issues of today even matter? Some cars end up valuable classics while others rust and are forgotten.
How did I waste so much time neglecting the spiritual side of my life? You know that is all that will matter someday. The security of today is hidden in the confidence of tomorrow!
