A Changing of Seasons
The fall is the most beautiful time of year in this part of the country. Every where that you look, the Northeast is full of color. Trees are bright yellow, there are some that are fire red, others are orange, some still show green, and of course there is brown. This all lasts for at least a month or so. Then we all know what is next. Cleaning up leaves, getting ready for winter, and, of course, there are the Holidays coming. It also means that racing season is over and so are the car shows.
This makes some people get depressed, others look forward to week-ends at home, and still others are excited about being able to prepare for the coming year. It's all in how you look at it.
It's the same way in everything in life. I believe that's why the Lord gave us the “signs of the times” as so many refer to them. It's to keep us encouraged and looking for His return and not getting depressed, like those with no hope.
Just as I know that the fall means that Thanksgiving and Christmas are coming, I know that with each passing day that prophecies are being fulfilled from the Bible and that Jesus is coming again. In Luke 21:28 we read: And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
Are you ready for His coming? Is your house in order? Have you given priority
to the right things? Because the Lord loves us, this is why He has given us these signs…just like the rainbow for Noah. It tells us that He will not destroy the world again with a flood. Prophecy being fulfilled is telling us His second coming is near. Therefore be ready for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man is coming. Let's live our
lives to the fullest. Ttoday may be that day. Let's share His love.
So as we cut the grass for the last time this year, and get the house ready for the winter, I'm looking forward to next year’s racing and car shows. It will be an exciting new season as we constantly watch for the Lord's coming. How about you?
