Good Health or Good Grace?

We Americans are very interesting.  We Christians are just as interesting.  Especially when it comes to health...good health.  It's important for us to stay healthy and stay fit in order to live longer.

Every commercial on TV seems to be pointing to good health or managing a healthy body.  When we pick up the newspaper or listen to the radio, we are constantly reminded of health.  It seems that every mall has several health stores to shop for products to stay healthy.  Even in the grocery store, we have a calorie counter and box tabs full of nutritional facts of the carbohydrates or calories in each container.  The effort to stay healthy can almost make you sick!

 We wouldn't think anything was wrong if someone stood on a street corner yelling about his or her product to stay healthy.  Why is the health business booming?  Because everyone has an instinctive desire to live as long as they can.

 What if someone stood on the corner and yelled, "Free eternal life!  It's available to everyone, no gimmicks; it's free to those who accept Jesus as Lord and Savior.”

 Now you better be prepared...you could get run off the street or put into jail.  This emotional need for a healthy life is while we are living only!  What we have to offer is life everlasting with no health issues.  We have a job to do...stand firm lots of unhealthy souls out there!
