“and be found in Him, not having a righteousness of my own derived from the Law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith”--- Philippians 3:9
The experience of a daily moment-by-moment presence with Christ is foreign to most Christians. To be found, as Paul says, in Christ, is to be where we belong-in constant fellowship and communion with Him. Through Christ, the believer has inherited the right and privilege to walk with God and to know Him intimately.
Intimacy with our Lord and Savior is one of the most important elements of a successful Christian experience. It involves a lifelong journey filled with great pleasure, peace, and joy. The process is slowed, however, by the fact that it takes time to learn to love our Savior, to know Him intimately, and to get to the place where we can go deeper in our experience with Him.
Jesus gave us a living example of talking with the heavenly Father by being alone with Him many times during the day, but especially in the morning when the day was fresh with hope and opportunity. In the scriptures, David often promised God, “early will I seek you.” He was accustomed to starting the day in renewed power, having forgotten the triumphs or failures of the previous day.
In God’s presence is where you will find His abundant love, forgiveness, hope and the assurance that he wants to bring completeness to your spiritual growth and that growth is only accelerated as you deepen your experience and knowledge of Him. God’s presence is where everything good spiritually begins and ends. Christ has opened that door for all to enter.
As you spend time with Him in prayer, meditation, and Bible study, you will develop a deeper wisdom that is from the heart of God that enables you to handle the tough days and lonely nights. Get started by closing your eyes and being quiet before Him. Focus on His unconditional love and His desire to teach you His ways. Enjoy the journey!
