Walk of
Faith
Many people get the wrong idea about the Christian life. In our excitement
about Jesus, we expect never to deal with our same old habits, problems, or
temptations. Often, more mature Christians advance this notion, hiding their
own personal struggles and dilemmas. Many believe they should live a
flawless life.
How often do we say, "Oh, I
just can't get it right! Am I really saved at all? Don't you hate me by now
God?" The truth of God's grace throughout life is one that is difficult for
humans to understand because we naturally rely on our works. We must
understand that the walk of faith is just that--a walk. It is a progressive
journey with Jesus as our guide.
Late singer/songwriter Rich Mullins says it best in one of his songs: And
on this road to righteousness
Sometimes the climb can be so steep
I may falter in my steps
But never
beyond Your reach...
I will seek
You in the morning
And I will learn to
walk in Your ways
And step-by-step
You lead me
And I will follow
You all of my days.
God Bless,
