The great continent of human life consists of average "two talent" Christians. We settle into a daily routine that gains or loses little. Content to escape hell and enjoy heaven most simply "bury" their talents.
But our God is not an average God. He promises an abundant life. Each time we choose to touch another's life we invest the talents He has given us. For whatever reason, He has chosen to give you the opportunity of a public profession of faith. All of my efforts, no matter how bold they seem to be, are hidden behind a veil of obscurity.
He has chosen you to be the standard bearers. Quite a responsibility, huh? (I'll bet sometimes you wonder if you should have volunteered for the job) But your character and lifestyle during the worst of adversity is all He asks. It is the opportunity to show the dividends the Lord is getting on His invested talents. An abundant life, not one that is trouble free but one that has the depth to reclaim the world for Jesus Christ. You are one of the chosen few. And you thought you were just average. Pretty neat, huh?
