How many old muscle cars have you owned? I may have lost count of all the old iron I have owned over the years, but I do remember best the ones I have nursed back to health. You know - the joy of seeing that dilapidated old ride regain its former beauty. But then there are those sad cases that are just beyond hope of a future.
I think of a 1970 Challenger RT that I once purchased, Plum Crazy with a 340 engine. I could imagine the eye catcher it once was. But after setting on the ground by a creek for years it was doomed to be a parts car. You could blow holes in the frame rails with a garden hose - it was that bad. Why would someone neglect such a ride, missing out on miles of enjoyment?
Life is like that at times, if we really think about it. I was recently called to the bedside of a dying friend. Whiskey had taken his liver. He was given weeks at most to live. The doctors offered no hope. I thank almighty God that this life is not hopeless at all. I was able to pray with him and his future was restored - not here, but the guarantee of a future in a much better place (heaven).
Yet he missed out on many a joyous mile here on this earth walking with Jesus. Don’t cheat yourself out of that spiritual restoration available to us. Any personal restoration questions you may have, please contact us, we are at your service.
I am thankful for the opportunities that God has given me to bring that spiritual regeneration to many a wondering soul. The thrill of being used in that way dwarfs the thrill I experienced in restoring those old muscle cars. And believe me that says a lot!
