There’s an old song that says “Anticipation, is making me wait.” If you’re like me, you hate to wait for whatever it is. I guess that is why there are so many red lights at the track. We know that we can’t wait for the green, so we anticipate it just a little early. And why are kids always asking, “Are we there yet?” Not only that, but people are always coming up with get rich quick schemes…they want the money now! Most people just can’t wait.
Then there is the other side of Anticipation; waiting and not getting what we think we should have or receiving the desired effect we wanted…such as winning. And finally, and the best of all, there’s getting better that what we Anticipated. Such as winning when we thought there was no way.
With the new season upon us the Anticipation is really building. I look forward to a safe season, a fun filled one, and to seeing racers and their families enjoying themselves and having a good time.
