Who Am I?
As I think about God,
and I think about myself, I begin to wonder, “Who really am I in the
sight of God?” So I began to search the scriptures; these are some of
the things God began revealing to me.
He started to show me
that it was a personal love relationship from God to us; He wanted
fellowship that was there by choice so He created us out of the dust of
the earth (Genesis 2:7) and man became a living soul.
Then He began to show me
in Ephesians 2:10 that we are His workmanship—created in Christ Jesus
that we should do good works. This made me think about what I am doing
for God now, and what could I do to be more pleasing to Him? Because
that is what really matters…to be pleasing to God.
From there He took me to
2 Timothy 2:20-22 and showed me that we are something very special to
Him. We are vessels of honor, and the only thing we have to do is set
ourselves apart from the world’s ways and live for God and he would use
us in a special way.
He also told us in
Romans 6: 18-22 that we have became servants of righteousness, free
from sin unto holiness and everlasting life. What a great way of life
and an awesome retirement.
He then began to show us
that we our joint heirs with Christ in Romans 8:16-18. Again I say
what a great retirement!
And finally he showed me
I was Royalty in His eyes as he took me to Revelation 1:6. He made us
kings and priests and we should live our life as so, (not being full of
pride) but living as an upright and special individual for God the
creator of the universe and the one we will be accountable to at that
day. There He will open the book of life and reveal our lives before us
that we might give an answer.
So, after pondering
these thoughts, I realized that there is always room for improvement in
our lives, and that God only wants the very best for His chosen
children, but we have to make the choices to be pleasing to God.
That is Who I Am!
