Destined to Succeed?
Just because we are
destined to do something doesn’t mean it will automatically happen. In order
to succeed at anything, you must maintain your confidence in God.
David writes, “My times
are in Thy hands” (Psalm 31:15). What times? Times when you feel like
quitting. Times when you wonder if God really called you to do this. Times
when you wonder if you will ever get through this. Times when God will have
to correct you. Times when you will have to rise above your circumstances and
say, “I am sufficient in God’s sufficiency.”
Do not wait for others to
come along and encourage you. Learn to do it yourself. David had no one to
believe in him, so he believed in God within him. If you don’t believe in
yourself, you don’t believe in God, for God can only do through you what you
believe Him to do.
So, be confident about
your ability in Christ. Believe that you indeed hear from God, and that He is
leading you. Be bold in the Lord. Rise up today, and decide that you can do
all things through Christ who strengthens you.
