LASER LEVEL OF LIFE

With friends at Daytona Kart Week racing, upcoming kart shows and swap meets, it's time to think racing. So let's think chassis setups. I am reading an article in a stockcar racing magazine that instructs on doing it at home. Instruments needed are a Craftsman Laser Trac kit, 24" framing square, shelving brackets and a wide steel tape. With the laser and square you can layout an appropriate sized rectangle on a floor to put your kart into. Aligning axle points with the tape, you then can record measurements to check for square. The brackets help to give perpendicular points to measure from. A vertical laser beam when measuring from the front wheels can give you camber.  I can see where a vertical laser beam could also be useful in checking toe. If this doesn't make sense to you, go to WWW.STOCKCARRACING.COM, see the May 2004 issue.

We know laser technology has been a very useful guide for building projects; now racing chassis alignment and many other uses.  What does it do?  It gives us a perfectly straight guide line.  Where accuracy is needed, it is paramount, and it brings with it simplicity.

The laser beam is a good illustration of what the Bible can be for our lives.  Its truths bring guidance and when we use it, it brings simplicity.  It brings true alignment with God.  For clearer understanding, go to Jesus (JESUSISLORD.COM).  He alone is the Way, the Truth and the Life - the only way to the Father.  (John 14:6)  Life's proper alignment instrument is the Ten Commandments and when used for measurement of each of our lives' performances we will have to say, "needs much adjustment."

I would have to confess that I have lied, stolen, and looked at what I shouldn't have.  That makes me a lying, thieving, adulterer, being half hearted toward loving God.  Jesus is my only hope for true alignment with God. Romans 4:25: "He was delivered over to death for our sins and raised to life for our justification."  What is justification?  Having sin forgiven by Christ being the substitute for us on the cross, his sacrifice of death brings proper alignment with God.  By personal faith we accept what he has done for us.  With this as our starting point, daily adjustment and constant fellowship with our Lord Jesus brings simplicity and peace to our lives.

Have you trusted the true laser for your life?
