Our Influence

Oh the awesome power we have in our hands.  We go through life much like carrying a bucket of water in one hand and a bucket of gasoline in the other.  What we accomplish in life has a lot to do with deciding when and where to pour out the contents, and which bucket we use.  If we come on a fellow believer who is discouraged, but we can still see the hot embers of his faith, it is an excellent time to use gasoline on these embers to reignite the flame of his faith.

On the other hand if we hear a false rumor about a friend, the water would be a much better choice.  Daily, we have the opportunity to quench or reignite many fires, may God give us good discretion, and may we follow His leading.  These seemingly little choices make a big difference in whether we make a positive or negative affect.  How we react can make the difference in us being good leader or bad ones.  Our society today needs more people who can influence those around us for good, not bad.
